Pastor Roma & Anita Fisher

Pastor Roma and Anita will be celebrating twenty years of pastoral ministry in Thunder Bay this fall. Both grew up in the Thunder Bay area and attended Lakehead University. Roma earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and an Honours Social Work Degree. Later he attended the University of Manitoba, receiving a Masters Degree, specializing in Administration and Management in Social Work. Anita graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education. Both have been involved in various community activities and organizations, and they currently teach career development sessions at Confederation College. Pastor Roma has travelled as a conference speaker, teacher and evangelist to churches and communities throughout Canada, including many isolated communities in the north. In 2000, both Pastor Roma and Anita completed pastoral studies at Rhema Bible Training Centre in Tulsa, OK. Pastor Roma was first ordained in 1990 under C.F.C.M. and more recently with R.M.A.I. Pastor Roma and Anita believe in the integrity of the Word of God and its ability to change and transform lives. Their heart is to raise up a strong people of God with an unshakeable foundation in the Word of God. They believe that every believer is a leader with awesome potential to be developed. Pastor Roma and Anita have a devotion to the people of Northwestern Ontario and a vision to build an influential church for their community and region.

Pastor Ken & Cindy Semeschuk - Assistant Pastors

Pastor Ken & Cindy Semeschuk graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1994. Ken grew up in Saskatchewan where he attended community college and worked on the CNR railroad for 12 years. Cindy grew up in Pennsylvania and has worked for Northwest Airlines and later for Faith Christian Fellowship as a bookkeeper. After marrying, they lived in Tulsa where Ken worked for Harrison House Publishing and both actively served in their local church. In 2003, Ken and Cindy moved to Thunder Bay Ontario to pastor a local body of believers. In December 2005, Ken and Cindy along with their three children and members of their congregation, joined Faith City Church. Pastor Ken has assumed the role of Assistant Pastor. The couple is very excited about the church and helping establish the Word of Faith message in Northwestern Ontario and regions beyond.

Pastor Steve & Kendra Hussey - Youth & Children's Ministry

Pastor Steve and Kendra Hussey graduated from RHEMA Bible Training Center in 2009. They both grew up in Newfoundland where Steve was a commercial fisherman. After marrying, they moved to Broken Arrow to attend RHEMA. In May of 2009 Steve graduated from the Pastoral Ministry and Kendra graduated from the Children’s Ministry. Steve and Kendra have just recently moved to Thunder Bay to assume the role of Youth Pastor at Faith City Church. They both look forward to ministering to the youth of Thunder Bay and teaching these youth the Word of God.

Grace Person - Seniors Ministry

Grace is a retired embroidery machine operator and a widow with 6 children, 8 grand-children and 1 great-grandchild. She remains active during her retirement years serving in the church. She is currently leading the Elders in Action Ministry. She excels teaching on the topics of prayer and the authority of the believer and enjoys sharing her wealth of experience with others. She loves flowers and is an avid gardener. She has a passion for prayer, the Word of God and is known for her committed relationship to Holy Spirit. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust'." (Psalm 91:1-2)

Vanessa Kasper - Music Team Leader

Vanessa has lived in Thunder Bay all her life and has received an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Lakehead University. She currently works at a non-profit organization as a MIS Administrator and Trainer. Growing up in a family that was always involved in serving at the church she herself found it easy to serve along with her whole family. She began in the music ministry at the age of 14 years old and then at 17 put her piano teaching to use and began playing the piano in the worship team. Worship and music has always been a passion for Vanessa; whether it be at home, or in corporate worship – music has always been a way for her to express her heart, in love, to a wonderful Father God.

Sandra Munroe - Ministry of HELPS

Sandra was born and raised in Red Lake, ON. She encountered God in her life at an early age being raised by parents who served in the ministry. She currently resides in Thunder Bay, ON and works at an all Native High School in the Student Services Department. She attends Faith City Church and serves in the Ministry of Helps as a greeter, counter, hospitality and the multimedia department. She shares the vision of Faith City Church of raising strong believers and leaders in the Word of God.

Dave McQuaid - Wordshop

David was born and raised in London, Ontario. His life changed radically when he met Jesus 18 years ago. In London he met and married his wife Kathy. Four years ago they felt God calling them to Thunder Bay. They both serve the vision God has for Faith City Church. Along with managing the Wordshop, David serves on the Faith City Church Board, as well as ushering and helping in Children's Church. David has a passion for studying the Word, and is an avid reader. The following Scripture is one of David's life goals: "Study to show yourselves approved of God, a workman that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." 2 Tim. 2:15

Joann Krouse -Visitation Ministry

Joann Krouse was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She taught core French for several years with the Lakehead Board of Education. More recently, Joann graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa Oklahoma, completing the 2-year Pastoral Studies course and the one year School of Worship. Along with her passion for music, Joann is also an excellent Bible teacher who inspires others to know and study the Word of God. Joann currently trains and develops adults' and children's choirs for special events. Joann also leads our Pastoral Care ministry team.
