The Faith City Programs
Prayer Ministry
Prayer is the power plant of the church. John Wesley said “it seems as though God can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him”. Corporate prayer is scheduled on every Tuesday at 7pm and pre-service prayer takes place Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Prayer Seminars and Prayer Leader's Training are offered at various times. All members are encouraged to participate in regular prayer.
HELPS Ministry
Volunteers are the life blood of any church organization. Here at Faith City Church, we are excited to see great membership participation. The Helps Ministry program is designed to advance the overall vision of the church. The Bible exhorts individual believers to use their gifts and talents to benefit the kingdom of God. Involvement in the ministry of helps is not only a personal responsibility, but is an integral part of Christian character and growth. New members are encouraged to attend a Helps Orientation session in order to prepare for serving and learn about the various helps opportunities at Faith City Church.
Children's Ministry
Children's services at Faith City Church are designed to be lively and fun as children are taught the Word of God and how to know God personally. We believe the Children's ministry is an essential part of the church, and our goal is to serve your children with excellence. Faith Kids is our program offered to children ages 4 - 12 on Sunday mornings. Nursery is available for babies and toddlers up to age three. Our Wednesday night program, Faith Kids @ Night offers a relaxed and fun atmosphere for crafts, games and objects lessons.
Impact Youth
Impact Youth takes place every Wednesday at 7pm for youth Grade 6 to Highschool. Youth enjoy a mid-week huddle, learning Bible principles through discussion, games and other fun activities. Weekend events are scheduled monthly, such as Gym Nights, Movie Nights and Service Projects for community and church events. Youth and their friends are welcome!
24/7 Men's Ministry
24/7 is a ministry for men at Faith City Church. The goal of this program is to provide fellowship opportunities for men and facilitate mentoring and relationship building. The Men’s Ministry also provides teaching and encouragement to men on a variety of relevant topics. Currently this ministry meets one Saturday a month for a “man-sized” breakfast, a video curriculum and discussion. The group is currently studying the series “Breaking Intimidation” by John Bevere.
Elders In Action
Fellowship and support are important in every phase of life. Elders in Action is geared towards those who are 55+ years young. The group meets one Wednesday morning a month for a time of study, fellowship and sharing.
Leadership Development
At Faith City Church we believe that every Christian is a leader. Every believer has the opportunity to influence others by their godly lifestyle, whether at home, at work or in their community. Leadership development sessions are designed to prepare church members for helps and leadership roles. Sessions emphasize both character development and interpersonal skills. Church members have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of leadership principles and develop skills useful for serving in the church or out in the community. Topics include: people skills, team work, communication skills, conflict resolution and more. Sessions include presentations and discussion groups.
Faith Foundations Classes
These classes are designed to assist new believers and the unchurched to assimilate into the Christian Life. Lessons in foundational Christian doctrine are taught through power-point sessions. A course booklet is provided and classes are free of charge. Classes run in 6-week blocks and usually take place after the Sunday morning service. This course is a requirement for anyone desiring to become a member of Faith City Church or become a volunteer in the Helps Ministry.
Outreach Events
At Faith City Church we believe in the importance of reaching out to others in the community. Significant events are hosted throughout the year, such as our Annual Fall Conference, Children’s Harvest Party, Holiday Choir Performances, Summer BBQ, Baseball Games, just to name a few. On a weekly basis, the church maintains a food pantry to assist families or individuals in need.
Wordshop
Our bookstore was established to assist believers to educate themselves in their Christian faith. Faith-filled materials covering a variety of topics are available. Books, Bibles, cds, dvds, music and Christian apparel are always in stock. Enjoy the latest publications from reputable authors such as, Kenneth & Lynette Hagin, John Maxwell, Joyce Meyer, John Bevere, and Kenneth & Gloria Copeland. Pastor Roma’s teaching materials and service recordings are also available at the Wordshop. The Wordshop is open before and after services and during regular church office hours.
Media
Media is an exciting ministry area that strives for excellence in the field of communication technology. The vision of the media ministry is to compliment and support the communication of the Gospel at Faith City Church. Media opportunities include audio, recording, CD/DVD duplication, technical support, graphic design and promotion.
Music Ministry
The music ministry offers members the opportunity to express their love for God through praise and worship, utilizing their musical gifts. The music team, including singers and musicians, practice weekly and minister at regular services. Other opportunities also exist for outreach services, conferences, and special events such as our Sunday Night Café.
Women of Destiny
Women of Destiny is a ministry designed to help women connect with one another, grow in their faith-life and learn life-changing truths. Women get together in a relaxed setting, starting with a meet & greet over refreshments, followed by teaching, discussion and sharing. Topics relevant to women are presented, such as healthy living, positive thinking, and developing healthy relationships. This group meets the third Thursday of the month studying the series, "Breaking Intimidation" by John Bevere. (Video Series & Discussion).
Geraldton Outreach
Faith City Church Geraldton takes place every Sunday at the French Club in the town of Geraldton. This growing outreach includes an energetic time of praise and worship, a time of testimony and dynamic teaching. Bible teaching and activities are also provided for children.
